Hi all, I’m Mason! I’m a long time player, longer time lover & listener of music.
I’ve travelled North & Central America playing music for years, and if it’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that discovering a new instrument is an enlightening experience.
In my years of playing I’ve had all sorts of teachers-some who were just interested in cashing a check, some who over advertised and didn’t really know what they were doing, and (thankfully!) some who really took the time in not to just teach me music, but to help in ways that worked for me specifically as opposed to just sticking to a regimen with no regard to my actual progress. That’s why I started teaching!
I know how uplifting a good experience can be for a student and how discouraging a bad one is, so I’ve devoted myself to bringing not just a helpful, but extremely positive approach to learning. You don’t have to sacrifice fun for a legitimate learning experience, and the same is true vice-versa. Teaching music is more than just memorizing a collection of rules and notes. It’s learning how to communicate in a new and exciting way, and to also enjoy doing it!
